"Elementary my dear Watson." Did you know, This phrase was never uttered by the character in any of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's written works. Though "Elementary," and "...my dear Watson." both do appear near the beginning of The Crooked Man. I thought you'd be interested to know that, I sure was. Just thought I'd share this with you.

This Latest interpretation of a Sherlock Holmes movie stars Robert Downey Jr ( Iron Man, The Soloist, Tropic Thunder), Jude Law ( the Holiday, Closer, Cold Mountain), Rachael McAdams (The Notebook, Time Travelers Wife) Lord Blackwood is dead, pronounces Dr. Watson. Yet He emerges to unleash hell upon London 1890. The mysteries then continue to unravel, is Lord Blackwood pure evil himself? With the power of Hell backing him up?

This case could not have come at a better time Holmes, especially since he is literally blowing holes in his walls from boredom. But the ill-tempered Sherlock would never admit such things. So, Sherlock and his always loyal, maybe too loyal partner Watson set off to piece the clues together. This wild adventure leading them here and there keep you enthralled from beginning to end. Did you see that clue that was right there all along? Or, that person that was right there in front of you? How good are you at deduction? This Sherlock Holmes movie is sure to keep you wondering.

Fighting. I bet you didn't think this detective story had it did ya? For those out there that has to have the "action" angle in it, this movie has you covered. I Love the way Guy Ritchie shot fighting sequences, and the way Holmes takes you into his own mind before he takes out his aggressor. To be honest, I was a little surprised at the fit these scenes, but in context it does give good character development to this new Sherlock Holmes. So I say bring it on.

I think Robert Downey Jr nailed the performance, and personally I have always liked him as an actor and am glad to see what he has become in Hollywood instead of becoming a "Hollywood has been".With Ironman 2 close on the horizon I can't wait to see more of him. I'm sure we'll see the next case for Sherlock to solve before we know it. Overall, a great watch. I enjoyed it, I watched twice! If this sounds intriguing at all to you I recommend you see it.
