Disney does it again! They have brought us another great timeless action adventure family film to watch. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time starring Jake Gyllenhaal (The Day After Tomorrow, Brothers), Ben Kingsley (Shutter Island, Gandhi), Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace, Clash of the Titans), Alfred Molina (Chocolat, Spiderman 2) has something for everyone.

In the mystical lands of Persia this epic adventure takes you on a race against time with rogue prince Dastan (Gyllenhaal) who reluctantly teams up with the rival princess Tamina (Arterton) as they try to safeguard a magical dagger. This dagger has the power to reverse time to whom ever possesses it. In the spirit of the Pirates if the Caribbean trilogy Disney pictures and the same producer Jerry Bruckheimer capture the same fun filled, edge of your seat combination that we have come to know and love.

Stemming from the video game series from years ago this tale more then come to life on the big screen with lots of sequences of action and special effects. Prince Dastan and Princess Tamina keep you enthralled with death-defying escapes and unexpected twists and turns as they race across the lands of Persia often with the help of others including Sheik Amar who is a ruthless entrepreneur and business man who seems to only think about what benefits him played by Alfred Molena.

I loved this movie, so much so that I saw it twice in theaters. I highly recommend this movie to everyone. There is something in this film for everyone to enjoy. Although rated PG-13 for action and violence it is certainly not over tho top with blood or the violence we see often in movies today. It is something the family can sit down and have fun watching together. Stay tuned because there is sure to be more adventures to come in this Disney franchise.
