One of the bigger comedies this summer, stars Paul Rudd (forty year old virgin, Knocked up) finally headlining his own major film. Also, starring Jason Segal (Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Knocked up) who is always fun to watch on screen.
This over the top look into male bonding follows Peter Klaven, an up and comer in the real estate business who has never quite gotten the hang of being "one of the guys" always seeming to be more social with the ladies but not the "ladies man". Peter has the knack for being the best friend, listening to the woes of the world through the eyes of his office coeds.
Peter is soon to wed Zooey (THE OFFICE's Rashida Jones) and he realizes he should find himself, or rather find guy friends since it is more than apparent that he has NONE. On to his quest to find "Man love", after some very awkward situations he eventually runs into co-star Jason Segel who plays Sydney Fife, the Type B object of Klaven's affection. Then all the dynamics of Peter's life change and the inner man-child is revealed and the laughs really heat up.
If the roles in this movie were traditional, man find girl of his dreams it does go thru the traditional sense- couple meets, falls in love, fights, breaks up, then gets back together. Maybe that's what makes it so funny, to see it in the not so traditional platform. There is no doubt that this on screen duo has comedic chemistry, I hope to see them on screen in the future. It defiantly tackles the insecurity and social awkwardness of guy friendships or at least the extreme cases. At any rate it will leave you rolling with laughter.

Laugh out loud funny. Rudd shows off his comic genius as the naive, sweet dope. Jason Segal is over-the-top outrageous fun, a perfect counterpart to Rudd'...
