What is there to say about one of the most idolized actors in Hollywood. The late Heath Ledger was an amazing actor, a legend most would say, someone who wasn't affraid to take on a role nobody else would want. He was someone who was so passionate about acting and sharing his talent with the world.

In his first major role starring aside Julia Stiles in 10 things I hate About You he charmed us with that infectious smile we all know and landing another major role in The Patriot his talent started to come out. Soon, Heath ledger became a well known name.

I think Heath Ledger is one of the most talented actors of our time. His immersion into his roles made them so believable, and captivating. The raw talent he had most actors dream of having when starting out.

We will never know just how far he would've gone in Hollywood, his untimley death in 2008 left his family, friends and millions of fans stunned and heart broken. There is no doubt he would have gone on to do more great things. Heath Ledger movies leave his legacy behind so that we can continue to enjoy his works.

Heath Ledger was won an oscar, and another 41 wins & 33 nominations in his career as an actor.

In 2008 Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for: The Dark Knight. (Posthumously. The award was accepted by his father, mother and sister.)

He was Nominated in 2006 for an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for: Brokeback Mountain (2005)

In 2009 he won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for: The Dark Knight (2008) Awarded posthumously. (The award was accepted by Christopher Nolan on Heath Ledger's behalf.)

In 2006 he was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama for: Brokeback Mountain (2005)

He is not only the first and only actor to be nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of the Joker, but the first and only actor to secure an acting nomination for a Batman film. He Was awarded the 2009 Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his work as the Joker in The Dark Knight (2008). This made him the first person to win a posthumous acting Oscar in this category.
